The Virginia Association of CALEA Accreditation Professionals (VACAP) welcomes accreditation professionals from throughout the Commonwealth to its Fall 2026 Conference and Business Meeting, scheduled for October 7–9 at the Four Points by Sheraton in Virginia Beach.
This three-day event unites law enforcement accreditation managers and practitioners for professional development, networking, and the association's business activities. Participants will tour the Virginia Beach Police Department's Real Time Crime Center (optional) and hear from prominent experts, including speakers from the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) and the National Policing Institute, on relevant topics such as use-of-force analysis and the accreditation process. The agenda also includes CALEA updates from the Program Manager, and the VACAP Business Meeting, along with evening networking socials that offer valuable chances to connect with peers.
